Xbox Returns to Classic Green for Its 25th‑Anniversary Editions – Gfaloe

More than 25 years ago, on Jan. 3, 2001, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson took the stage to unveil the first Xbox. Ten months later, the console went on sale, and Microsoft has been a major player in the gaming industry ever since. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the brand appears to be returning to its roots — but at what cost?

Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Series X25, a special 25th anniversary collection, during its Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday. The special‑edition console and controller feature a translucent “OG” green finish and design cues pulled from the original Xbox, plus a handful of hidden Easter eggs.

Pricing and an exact launch date were not disclosed; Microsoft only confirmed the hardware will land in November and will be limited to select markets.
