Whenever the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Drops Below $1,000 You Should Buy One – Like Right Now

Since the initial Kickstarter, the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon has been on pretty much every best 3D printer article and continues to be one of the most popular 3D printers you can buy right now. The only thing that keeps it off my current best list is the price. At $1,250, the difference in price over the P1S makes it a hard sell for anyone without specific needs, so whenever it gets a discount, it’s worth noting. Right now, Best Buy has knocked $250 off the X1C Combo, bringing the price down to just $1,000 and making it a must buy for anyone looking for a new 3D printer.

We’re not sure how long this deal might last, but getting both the X1 Carbon and the AMS color system for $1,000 is a bargain, especially from Best Buy where you can get it delivered to your door in just a matter of days.

I’ve spent hundreds of hours using the X1 Carbon. The hardened nozzle allows me to print materials I wouldn’t normally be able to. From glow-in-the-dark PLA to carbon fiber-infused filament, the X1C can do it all. This bundle also comes with the AMS, a unit that allows you to print four colors as easily as one. It sits on top of your X1C and feeds different materials into the machine. Using the color system can be wasteful, but if you’re careful, you can make some amazing models with splashes of color.

In my initial review, I spoke about the two issues that kept it from being an instant buy: the waste and the price. The waste can be mitigated with some careful printing and software tweaks to some degree, and Best Buy’s $250 off offer makes the price very compelling. Normally, I would suggest buying the P1S or A1 Combo over the X1C because of the increased cost, but at $1,000, I think the X1C is worth the investment. Especially if you are looking to print industrial materials like carbon fibers or metal-infused materials.

If the X1 Carbon is not what you’re looking for right now, there are plenty of really great 3D printers around, including some great budget 3D printers.

    Why this deal matters

3D Printing is fast becoming one of the US’s favorite hobbies, but the cost of entry can be high, especially if you have a specific goal in mind. The X1 Carbon is one of the best 3D printers around, and a discount that drops it to $1,000 is noteworthy. And, because this is a Best Buy deal, the shipping will be quick, so you’ll have your printer before you know it.
