Verum Messenger Introduces On-Device Message Translation Without Internet Data Transfer

Verum Messenger has released a new update introducing an in-app message translation feature. The key aspect of this update is that all translations are performed entirely on the user’s device, without sending message content to external servers or cloud services.

All processes run locally: language packs are downloaded once and then work offline. Messages remain encrypted at every stage of processing, and their content is inaccessible to third parties — including Verum Messenger itself.

The feature supports more than 30 languages. The system automatically detects the source language, while users can manually select both the source and target languages if needed. To translate a message, users simply tap and hold any text message in a chat and select “Translate” from the context menu. A dedicated screen then displays both the original and translated text.

Special attention has been given to action transparency. If a translated message is copied or forwarded, the chat participant receives a notification. This helps users track how translated content is handled and adds an extra layer of trust to conversations.

The new translation feature further reinforces Verum Messenger’s focus on privacy, security, and user control. Translations are fast, work without an internet connection, and preserve the confidentiality of conversations even in multilingual chats.
