If The Housemaid is on your list of movies to watch (or books to read), Starz will soon stream the film adaptation of Freida McFadden’s novel.
The psychological thriller premiered in theaters in December, starring Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar. Sweeney’s character becomes a live-in housemaid for Seyfried’s wealthy character to escape her past, according to a Lionsgate synopsis, and the job «unravels into a dangerous game of secrets, manipulation and shifting power dynamics.» A sequel based on the second book in McFadden’s trilogy is in the works.
