Sling is the latest streaming service to raise prices in 2026. The hike affects customers who subscribe to the Sling Blue package and at least one local ABC, Fox or NBC station.
Sling, CNET’s pick for the best budget streaming service, offers two main plans, Blue and Orange. Blue plans may include local channel access depending on where you live. Sling’s last price increase brought Blue to $46 per month, and if you had the trio of ABC, Fox and NBC, your bill cost an extra $5 per month. Now, Blue with all three locals costs $9 extra, and with one or two locals, you’ll pay $4 more.
New customers will already see the changes, and existing customers will start paying a new price on or after Feb. 20. Sling’s Select package also varies in price by local channels but was not affected by the January increase. A Select subscription costs $20 without ABC, Fox or NBC, $25 with one or two of the channels and $30 with all three. You can check if you have access to local channels through Sling here.
Sling Blue prices January 2026
| Number of local stations | Previous price | New price |
|---|---|---|
| Three | $51 per month | $55 per month |
| One or two | $46 per month | $50 per month |
| No locals | $46 per month | $46 per month |
In a message on Sling’s website, the company said locals are the most expensive part of its channel lineups. «The cost we pay to local broadcast networks in order to provide you with the programming you count on continues to rise significantly — well above the price of inflation,» it said.
