Save Hundreds Off a New MacBook With These Best Buy Deals and Trade-In Prices

You’ll find Apple’s famous logo on the back of some of the very best laptops around, whether you’re getting work done in an office or being creative in the field. But top-tier performance and a great-looking design doesn’t come cheap, which is why finding a great MacBook deal is always the way to go. Right now, Best Buy is the place to be, with the retailer offering direct discounts and some huge trade-in prices that could make your new Apple laptop cheaper than you might think.

Best Buy is offering up to $1,320 off some models right now, and you can save even more by trading in your old machine — we found one model that will get you another $950 off if it’s in good condition. We don’t know how long these prices will last, so we suggest ordering your new machine sooner rather than later if you see the right laptop deal for you.

The best deal we’ve come across is perfect for those who already have one of Apple’s biggest and most powerful machines from a couple of years ago, but want to get something a little fresher. The retailer is offering the 16-inch MacBook Pro with an M3 Max chip, 36GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD for just $2,400 right now. That’s $999 off its original asking price, but you can save even more. Trade in your old M2 Max version with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD and you’ll get $950 back. That takes the final price to just $1,460.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

You can, of course, trade in other laptops, even if they aren’t made by Apple, but the trade-in price will vary. Trade-ins are available on Best Buy’s other MacBook deals, too, so make sure to check out your preferred model and go through the trade-in price checker to see what your old laptop is worth.

Just looking for a straight discount? The 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro is now $1,389, a $710 saving. This configuration comes with a massive 24GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD to boot.

    Why this deal matters

We’re big fans of Apple’s laptops, but we know that they aren’t the most affordable options out there. These deals, plus the option to get a big chunk of change back by trading your old laptop in, makes them cheaper — and that’s always a good thing.
