In his roundup of the best laptops of 2025, CNET’s Matt Elliott called the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 the best Windows laptop, citing the polished design and battery life as chief selling points. «The Surface Laptop 7 ran for nearly 20 hours in testing — that’s the longest of any 13- or 14-inch laptop I’ve ever tested — including the M4 MacBook Air,» Elliott says.
