Hisense has lifted the tarpaulin on two new models in its CanvasTV lineup: a 75-inch and an 85-inch starting at $2,500.
The two 4K TVs feature an anti-glare Hi-Matte display and Art Mode for displaying curated artwork or your own pictures. They also come with a teak magnetic frame in the box — while further options are sold separately — and each includes an «ultra-slim wall mount for near zero gap installation.»
The Canvas TVs boast Quantum Dot color, and Dolby Vision compatibility. Smart TV is courtesy of Google TV, while connectivity includes HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi 5, and compatibility with smart assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri. No word yet on gaming features like a 120Hz refresh rate or a dedicated Game mode, though the smaller models do have these.
The Canvas TVs take on the Samsung Frame, while retailing for about $500 less, and also compete with other TV gallery modes such as Roku’s Backdrops.
The two models will be available in late spring at $2,500 MSRP for the 75 inch and $4,000 for the 85 inch.
