The second Glam Slam on the tennis calendar begins today in Paris. The 2025 French Open will be played on the famed red clay of Roland-Garros but this year’s tournament will look different from previous editions. For starters, it’s the first time in more than two decades that Rafael Nadal is not playing. The Spanish legend retired last year, having won an incomprehensible 14 French Open titles in his career.
In another departure, NBC is no longer the broadcast partner for the French Open. This year’s tournament marks the beginning of Warner Bros. Discovery’s 10-year deal to broadcast the French Open in the US on TNT Sports. TNT will be the lead network, with additional coverage on TBS and truTV. Every match will also be streamed on Max.
