For those on a tight budget, you may want to consider a previous-gen model. Last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 is still a viable option, and while it’s getting a little tough to find in stock, it’s available at a handful of retailers and carriers. Plus, most are eager to clear out the remaining inventory, which means there are plenty of deals that can help you save hundreds.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 7.6-inch AMOLED main screen and a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen. It has an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that offers super-fast processing. This device has a 10-megapixel cover camera, a 4-megapixel under-display camera and a rear triple-camera setup with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera that matches what we saw in the previous generation.

As for storage, you can choose from 256GB, 512GB or 1TB, and each model comes with 12GB of RAM and the latest version of the company’s software: One UI 6. According to Samsung, you should get the 4,400-mAh battery up to a 50% charge in about half an hour with wired charging.
It performed well in our battery drain test. After we’d streamed a YouTube video for 3 hours at full brightness on the main 7.6-inch screen, the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s battery had dropped to 82%, not much less than the non-folding Galaxy S24, and better than other folding phones.

Best Buy currently has no direct discount on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, you can trade in an old phone and save up to $375. You can also save $100 if you sign up with Verizon.
Samsung no longer accepts trade-ins for an unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 6, but you can score some savings if you opt for a Verizon model. Exchanging your old phone could knock up to $1,000 off the usual price for those who have or switch to an Unlimited Ultimate plan. Just note that only the 256GB navy blue color is still available.
There aren’t any special trade-in offers at the moment, but AT&T does still offer Galaxy Z Fold 6 discounts in exchange for your old phone. Plus, you can get half off select Samsung accessories when bundled with the purchase. AT&T also has a special online-only offer that saves you $200 with the activation of a new line.
T-Mobile’s discounts vary depending on which plan you have. If you’re trading in an old phone, you can save up to $1,000 if you’re on a Go5G Next or Experience Beyond plan, $800 if you’re on a Go5G Plus or Experience More plan or $400 for most other plans. Those adding a new line will get $800 off if they’re on an Experience More or Go5G Plus plan or $600 for most other plans.
Boost Mobile isn’t offering any true discounts on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 at the moment. However, you will get a free year of its $25 per month Unlimited plan when you purchase the phone outright, which saves you $300.
