Amazon began its annual Prime Day sale in 2015. Ever since, bargain hunters have eagerly awaited its return every summer. Tariffs are top of mind for most Americans, with 52% of US adults concerned about rising prices and tariffs according to a new CNET survey. Russell Holly, CNET’s shopping expert and director of commerce, also noted that he has «seen plenty of evidence that suggests tariffs on personal electronics and home tech will affect prices during sales this year,» which means we may see effects during this year’s October Prime Day event with some increase on electronics and other items.
